good morning.

Fukuoka is experiencing some beautiful sunny mornings. How is everyone spending their mornings?

As for me, I spend my mornings with Ota Miho's face coming to mind.

The new album "Kiki" was produced at Utsushiki from this winter to spring.

We are finally ready to deliver the products to you, and pre-orders closed last night at 11:59pm.

Thank you for all your reservations.

Regular sales will begin today, so don't worry if you missed out!

The first time I heard her singing was on the album "Odier" by CANTSU, a choir made up of nine members including Miho.

Next was Miho Ota's solo piece "Kyoumei", created using the stage from the 2019 Utsushiki workshop.

Until then, when I heard the word "hymn" (or music inspired by hymns), I imagined a piano tones that were gentle and calm, flowing slowly and fitting for offering prayer, and that if compared to the seasons, they would evoke autumn or winter (in other words, a tranquil morning or an evening with the sky dyed red).

But Miho is different.

I was surprised to find that Miho's songs, lyrics, and singing voice were completely different from what I had imagined.

I seriously wondered if I knew any other artist who could so deeply vibrate the listener's body and inspire their soul with all their heart and soul from the deepest depths.

After listening carefully to the song from beginning to end, you realize that, although it may seem cliched, the beauty of the song comes from the fact that it is something like her origins, as well as the anguish, conflict, complexes, and regrets she has experienced up until now.

That's why it's so intense, yet so straightforward and gentle.

It supports each soul.

I guess that's what hymns were originally like.

The new album "Kiki" comes with a booklet containing 12 essays written by Miho.

Each of these themes is a matter of life and death for Ota Miho's current existence, yet they are also things that she can share with a laugh.

One thing is for sure: everything she has to say can be conveyed without the medium of song.

You can receive prayers and encouragement from all of them.

In this day and age, I think the act of "buying a CD" will surely suffer the same fate as records in the past.

I can't keep up with the times.

However, the reasons why it is worth doing so, and the joy and richness of having music in your life, can only be understood by those who have actually encountered it.

It features a soft-touch cover designed by Ono of Yamaka Design Office, beautiful, one-of-a-kind typography, and a booklet of 12 essays.

At the very least, I am truly grateful for having met the soulful singer Ota Miho, who had a vivid presence in my life.

Vive hodie!
Live now in Latin.

Hodie, which is also the title of CANTSU's album.

Miho has always shown us her powerful laughing and crying, marking the present with all her might.

Let's start today with Miho's song.
