There's a time when I've been here for 13 years.

此処に13年という時がある

The morning air is clear and the rice fields are in the midst of a fruitful autumn after the rice harvest.

The Nohara Exhibition, which began last weekend, features clothing suitable for the coming season.

The cafe was bustling with activity, with Ichi and Ni Cafe and Makibino bread on sale.

The exhibition will continue until the 27th.

On the 26th and 27th there will be a food, sweets and tea party at Ashizuki , a Shiga shop that conveys the blessings of nature through sweets.

On the 27th we will be inviting Phoka from Niigata to perform a concert .

Both are still available for reservation, so let's celebrate autumn together.

There are also many children's events this autumn.

Starting with the nursery school sports day and then the elementary school sports day, I went out to see the children in all their special occasions.

Last week I went to my eldest son's junior high school cultural festival.

In the gymnasium, we listened to a chorus of soprano, alto, and tenor singers, each of whom made the most of their vocal ranges.

It was also a day when I was reminded of the difference between now and elementary school and I realized that I had entered adolescence.

My eldest son will be 13 in October.

Now that I've been a parent for 13 years, this day is a special day every year when I look back on everything that has happened since my child was born.

Just the other day, to celebrate my son's birthday, my mother and I went to Fukuoka city to a place he wanted to go.

I'm curious to know what my son is interested in.

The parents accompany their son to eat what he wants and what he likes.

It's different from taking a toddler wherever they want to go.

I felt like it was becoming more like going along with a friend or partner's hobby.

I felt that my existence was changing as my body grew bigger and I had more thoughtful conversations.

When my son was 10 years old, I read a book called "The turning point in raising children is 10 years old."

Suddenly, I remembered that it has been three years since then.

The voice and appearance are clearly different, but obviously the behavior and thinking are also different from before the age of 10.

Little things change every day, and it happens faster than parents think.

It's different from a day, a week, a month, a year ago.

If you don't notice, you will overlook the fact that your son is no longer here.

He no longer jumps around and plays in front of the store like in the photo.

Just the other day, a pair of junior high school students jumped off the loft of their house.

They are playing and laughing.

I thought it wouldn't change, but

I just stopped being a parent, and I was taking videos of myself and rewinding them and laughing out loud.

I wanted to do it this way, so next time I'll do it this way! I kept reshooting it over and over again.

Even though they've grown up, they can still play like this and there are still some aspects of them that haven't changed since they were 10 years old.

Like a baby, I was able to crawl, stand, and walk.

At the same time, I am happy to be able to

Why did he stop crawling? Why did he stop eating food by hand?

Similarly, if you look closely at the things you no longer do, you will see a lot of growth there.

It helps us to know more about our children.

My son was born during the cold, bracing season of dew.

13 years have certainly passed here,

As we grow up, we may feel a little embarrassed about each other, but we will always be grateful for our children's birth and for their health.

I wanted to tell you honestly.
