Thank you cells

Mariko Tagami

We are now at the winter solstice, with only about a week left of the year.
Yesterday, my son's kindergarten life presentation ended.
I felt relieved and like New Year's Eve had arrived early.
(The flu has been going around for the past two weeks, so the event was held while teachers and parents were feeling anxious...)
Of course, I will be careful not to let my guard down for the remaining week, but if I end up in bed on New Year's Day, it would be a complete waste of time (tears)
Recently, something I've been trying to do during these busy days has helped me change my values.
Today I'd like to take the plunge and share it with you all.
I think that when you're tired or want to relax, there are various ways for each person to do it.
What I practice is a method called "talking to my own cells."
I'm sure there are some people who are wondering "?" on their head, but while you're taking a bath or before going to bed, touch your body and
By saying to your cells, "Thank you for your hard work today" or "Thank you"
I felt like my body was being reset and all the unnecessary tension was released.
It may be hard to notice at first, but one day you'll notice a change!
The easiest thing to understand was hair. Hair is the part of the body that is closest to the brain, so it is said that it is easy to see changes such as hormone secretion.
By paying attention to the scalp and each individual hair, you can improve the shine and quality of your hair.
Maybe only I can tell, but that was the biggest change I noticed.
As I did this, I realised that my awareness of my physical self was also connected to my mental self.
"Even the soles of your feet and the back of your neck, which you don't usually see that often.
Part of who I am.”
When such values begin to emerge within me,
I felt like I was beginning to notice the little joys of everyday life that I had overlooked before.
The body is naturally loose, but it can become stiff due to minor events or everyday fatigue.
It made me realize that maybe I was losing sight of the small details and important things.
If you are feeling very tired and don't know what to do,
I want you to try it even if you think you might be tricked! (laughs)
If possible, take a few minutes a day to take care of your body.
May the rest of 2024 be a happy and healthy one!
Have a wonderful Christmas, everyone!
