Antiques, antique furniture and accessories exhibition

A year passes so quickly that before you know it, it's gone by in the blink of an eye.

With the addition of new members, the team now consists of four people.

This year, we held four exhibitions, starting with the antique tools and furniture exhibition , followed by the Yamaka Design Office Ono Tomohiro exhibition , the ceramic artist Ishihara Yoshimitsu exhibition , and the Nohara exhibition.

At our third anniversary event held in September, we received cooperation from so many people, and it reminded me once again that we are supported by such wonderful artists.

And with Hayato Aoki x Arisa Kawai x baobab x Miho Ota live & painting, it's a very dense content.

New additions to the permanent collection include COSMIC WONDER clothing, Nin Kigaya and Yuko's clothing, Tetsuya Hioki 's pottery, and Masami Tokuda 's woodwork.

I am so grateful for the wonderful connections and encounters I have had with these wonderful creators.

And since the beginning of the year, we have a coffee shop run by Saori Tashiro of kiki product, who is also a member of the Utsushiki staff.

Although it was a reservation-only event and a little confusing, we were very pleased that so many people were interested in attending.

At the cafe event, we had the opportunity to enjoy a full course of Indian cuisine by TANE , a wild grass cafe by sora , a full course vegetarian meal by Masamitsu Kunugi, a cafe on-site by MERCIBAKE , Masuo Coffee, and many other dishes, sweets, and teas.

We are planning to hold many events in 2019 at both Utsushiki and Utsushiki Cafe, so we hope you will enjoy them.

The first exhibition of the new year will be a continuation of last year's exhibition of antiques, furniture and accessories.

Utsushiki is also the studio where Yasuhide Ono usually makes his accessories.

I am grateful that you all came to see my work, but because I am currently exhibiting other works, I will be exhibiting and selling many of my own works among the antiques.

Originally, I started collecting antiques when I was searching for something that would go well with minerals and antique parts to display my own works. I was attracted to the aged look of old things and started collecting them.

From then on, I collected items that matched my image of old things at each exhibition, and when I started my shop, I began to collect and sell old things in earnest.

I would like you to look back on those times and take another look at the first exhibition of the year.

The exhibition will run from January 3rd to January 21st, a little longer than usual.

We are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

I am looking forward to meeting you all in the new year.

Next year, we will make better use of this diary and update it every Monday with different staff members.

We hope to share our everyday lives, things, and the things we cherish from our own perspectives, little by little.
