Exhibition Information

September.
The season when rice ears grown from tiny seeds turn golden yellow.
Utsushiki is celebrating its 5th anniversary.
This year, Utsushiki's first
We will be holding an exhibition by LIFT's Ryosuke Yagi.
We moved our base from Tokyo to Oita Yamagata.
Yagi is in charge of everything from interior design to stage art, furniture and fixtures.
We wanted to create the anniversary project that we most wanted to see, and that is why we decided to create this exhibition.
With the people who are active in Yamagata, Oita Prefecture, with whom we have had a long-standing relationship,
Let's enjoy a fruitful time together.

Space Circus
The exhibition was titled "Space Circus."
For me, the word "space" is probably the word I'm always conscious of and use the most.
Circus is my favourite word as it feels out of the ordinary and like a dream.
When I heard about the exhibition at Utsushiki,
These two words are linked together.
LIFT, which was active in Waseda, Tokyo, has moved its base to Yamagata, Oita, and is producing furniture and sculptures every day.
The LIFT space will be exhibited in a wooden utsuhiki setting, along with antiques that have been collected over the years.

Two members: vocals, fiddle and guitar.
With Celtic music as their base, they create a unique worldview by fusing instrumentals and vocals.
We turn the things we encounter in our daily lives into sound,
The sounds scattered throughout the simple arrangement spread freely, evoking images of landscapes and scenes.
