Takashi Ichikawa Exhibition

What do you think of when you put something in this vessel?
If you love cooking, how about a vibrant green salad or a soup packed with flavor?
Maybe some sweets or a hearty warm drink?
If I were you, I would like to include the plants in the Utsushiki Garden.
It's gotten really hot so freshly made ice cream would be nice.
That's how my imagination runs wild.
Perhaps the adorable son of one of our regular customers has a stone buried underground in his collection, or perhaps someone who wants to float the colors of dissolved minerals in Japanese paintings, or perhaps someone who is crazy about the game of Go wants to add some Go stones.
Each person has many different perspectives,
I think that as long as you have this vessel close by that you'll want to place your hand over, it can be used in any way you like.
Ceramicist Takashi Ichikawa Exhibition held from May 2nd (Sat) to 10th (Sun)
Amid an ever-changing situation, this exhibition began while we searched for better ways to proceed together with all of you who were involved.
This is also the first attempt at an online exhibition .
On the first two days, Nogusoozora held a wild grass tea party and Tsumugi held a flower party, which also served as a photography session, in the presence of close friends only.
I had the opportunity to participate in the flower group and spent some time freely arranging the plants collected by Tsumugi Hina in Ichikawa's vessels.
You can choose and try out as many containers and plants as you like within the time limit!
Just play whatever feels good to you and don't worry about making mistakes.
Finally, an unintentional scene was created where everyone had picked up their items in their own way.
No one had any particular intention to get to this point, but it was certainly an event that occurred as a result of the coming together of individual ideas.
After getting to work, we were served beautiful sweets from Yuyun, with whom we have a close relationship, as well as wild herb tea from Nosozora, presented by Ichikawa, who himself enjoys working with tea.
Takakura Yuriko 's food for the photo shoot (and for our stomachs afterwards) took on a new world of its own on Ichikawa's tableware.
My senses were sharpened by the relationship between what Yuriko wanted to communicate through the vessels and the vessels that held them.
The beautifully flavored items will be featured on Instagram every day during the exhibition.
It seemed to me that Ichikawa spent time with the users and used what he learned through his body to incorporate into his work.
We delve deeper into the activities of everyone involved through footage and dialogue.
Increase the fun in your home.
