Information on the "Hakujitsu Exhibition"

「白日 展」のご案内

Ice particles are falling in the air in Miyawaka, and the new year begins with the triangular mountain sporting a faint white cap.

We are soon approaching the coldest time of the year, but I hope that you are all enjoying good health and the new year.

The first exhibition of 2025 will be the Hakujitsu Exhibition in Asakusabashi, Tokyo.

Hakujitsu opened his shop around the same time.

I also personally use the museum once a year for exhibitions.

It's difficult to put into words the work of store owner Koichi Nishizaka.

Not only does he have an eye for collecting antiques, but through conversations with artists he is able to bring out their strengths and charms that they themselves may not even be aware of.

Even as fellow professionals, we are impressed by the overwhelming planning ability with which they release this to the world.

They never pursue passing trends, but rather base their work on the very strict standard of whether an antique dealer 100 years from now would buy the piece if he came across it in a flea market.

He is what you would call an old-fashioned person who values loyalty and human feelings, and is one of the most eccentric people I have ever met.

Would there be any backlash if I wrote that he himself is a natural monument, like a work of art, and that I feel like comparing him to Rosanjin?

This time, a selection of antiques will be on display, along with Hakujitsu originals such as posters and hand towels.

Also, on the first days, the 25th and 26th, "Snack Yamamoto" by Japan's most famous disciple Yamamoto and "Ko-ryori Fukumura" by ceramic artist Fukumura Ryuta will be held at the same time.

There are various conditions for visiting the store, so please wait for the details.

Whatever it is, please come and see it for yourself.

He opened "Hakujitsu" in 2016, and prior to that he worked as a rapper and chef.

This is the first exhibition of the new year.

We hope you will come and visit us to bring good luck for the year.
