Yoshimitsu Ishihara Ceramic Exhibition

Information about the next exhibition.
Utsushiki will be holding its first ceramic exhibition from April 28th.
Ishihara Yoshimitsu is a potter who also lives in Miyawaka city.
My two-year wish has come true.
I moved to Miyawaka City and immediately went to say hello to the workshop.

From then on I visited every time the kiln was opened, and when they started making utsushiki pottery I contacted them.
It's still a while away, but please look forward to it.

Yoshimitsu Ishihara Ceramic Exhibition

Ishihara Yoshimitsu, who also makes pottery in Miyawaka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, picked up a ridged sake cup on the day I first visited his studio and was attracted to its appearance, which led to this exhibition. The appearance is somewhat rugged, but the mouthfeel is thin and delicate. I found it strange that two seemingly polar opposites could coexist in one vessel. The shape is shaped by the movement of the hand, and the vessels, which are fired in the climbing kiln that is fired twice a year, will show organic and exquisitely diverse expressions. Please enjoy the view of Ishihara's pottery spread out in the space of the Utsushiki.

We will be opening a wild herb cafe using Ishihara's tableware. Mr. Sawamura of Sora discovered wild herb tea when he fell ill, and since then, he has been using wild herb tea. We are preparing to have a relaxing tea time with Mr. Sawamura, listening to him talk about his experiences and the effects on the body. We will also be serving sweets made from the wild herbs growing at our feet. It will be a tea time like a small workshop, so please feel free to join us.
