iai Art Exhibition "Waste Life"

Exhibition Information
This is the third iai exhibition, and it will feature clothing made from antique fabrics.
We can see him in both the clothes he gave us when we first met and the ones he has recently acquired, and we are always happy to feel that his expression is deepening and changing with each passing year.
Please come and see iai today.
We will be holding a dinner party in the coffee shop, inviting A-Un from Tochigi.
On the final day, we will have a concert by OLAibi from Mt. Daisen, Tottori.
ANAN coffee will come to visit us.
This is also a valuable opportunity, so please join us.
Details are as follows.
iai Exhibition
"Rubbish"
Receiving the thoughts of people from ancient times and the present that rise from the surface of their bodies (clothing)
Handicrafts are everywhere, creating a living garment
__
Fabrics that have been loved since ancient times, everyday clothes, rough clothing, scraps, waste threads, factory waste, leftover fabrics, and even moth-eaten fabrics are picked up within reach and included as part of the clothing as a unique feature.
Just like eating whole vegetables from the field on the table, the plants that have been used as dyes turn to ash, and we live on the earth, and even the trash shines with our clothing.

OLAibi profile
Beat the drums and sing songs.
From an early age, I began to think deeply about Africa. I learned words I didn't know.
I know songs I don't know.
That was the beginning of my interest in West African drumming.
OLAIbi is the name of a Hopi village, and I simply felt that the sounds "a" and "i" were soothing.
Since 2002, he has been active both in Japan and overseas as the drummer for the band OOIOO.
In addition, he has produced commercials, film music, and performed in various collaborative live shows.
In 2013, he left his long life in Tokyo and moved to a place deep in the forest.
The jungle was 20,000m2 in size. The family of three slowly made room for themselves, built a hut, and
They named the place "HUT" and it became a new space for production and presentation.
Then he left the band and felt a bit lost.
Seeing this, her husband and son decided to build a small music hut.
The studio allows you to hear all the outside sounds.
In 2017, he launched the label "sunet"
The sounds created in that music hut have now been released on CD.
"Mimiwasu"
If you listen in the darkness, you can hear countless stories.
His new activity is to load a wooden sound system into his car and go play for people he meets.
As a first attempt, we are making accessories using scraps of natural fabric that are left over from the production of iai clothing.
The scraps of fabric are unraveled, twisted, and woven into ornaments that can be transformed into clothing.
We hope you will also look forward to the first collaboration between iai and yasuhide ono.
I am looking forward to meeting you all on the day.
