SING BIRD CONCERT FINAL

Caterina Forest, Yamaga, Kitsuki City, Oita Prefecture, is home to a workshop for making ancient musical instruments. This time, we will exhibit our works as a copy at the SING BIRD CONCERT, which is held every year on Mother's Day. This will be the last SING BIRD CONCERT, which has been held 16 times. When I first visited Caterina Forest, I honestly thought, "This is the life I want to lead!" They repaired and renovated old houses, built a workshop with their own hands, and made ancient musical instruments using an old painting as a clue. They use those ancient instruments to weave sounds and perform. They grow their own rice and vegetables, and there are many other invisible daily experiences that you can't see. It's impossible to take in all of that history in just one visit, and I was simply overwhelmed and unable to put it into words, so I found myself coming back again and again, finding reasons to do so.
This time, we will be participating with artists who have a connection with Utsushiki. All of the members who will be participating have visited the Caterina Forest at least once, and interestingly, they all make things close to the soil and live their own lives. Our shared theme is – The People of the Forest –
Each creator interprets the keyword in their own way and goes back in time through the history of the Earth, from the present to ancient times.
Tools and clothing used in daily life, bags for carrying things, accessories for decorating the body,
There will be an herbal pharmacy, food, and pictures of forest animals on display and for sale.
Participants are Mikusa (living tools)
Lol (caricature)
Arisa Kawai (accessories)
Field (bag and clothes)
iai (clothing)
Wild Stone (food)
Masuo Coffee (Coffee)
Saori Tashiro (Herbal Pharmacy)
Yasuhide Ono (Stone Digging Game)
The venue will be the ancient tomb space at the top of Caterina Forest. If it rains, it will be a no-go, so I'm praying for clear skies now. There will also be other wonderful performers and creators participating, so let's share this final SING BIRD CONCERT.
The store will be closed on the 12th as all Utsushiki staff will be there.
We will be open from 13:00 on the 11th (Sat) and 13th (Mon), so please come and visit us.
Tickets are required to enter the SING BIRD CONCERT. Advance tickets are available at a discount. Tickets can be purchased at Utsushiki, so please contact us in store, by email or phone.
