At Utsushiki, the Emiowasu exhibition closed on Monday.
Thank you to everyone who came to visit us.
During the event, customers could be seen excitedly trying on clothes and making decisions, creating a peaceful and gentle sight.
As I stand in the store introducing various items and thinking about them together with customers, the light falls on things other than the one that my eye initially set on, the one I had my heart set on, and I find myself being drawn to them...!
I also chose a wool coat that I have never owned and have managed to get by every year, and a knitwear that is so soft I might fall asleep in it.
Thanks to the Emiowasu exhibition, I feel like I've made progress in preparing for winter.
It's getting cold in my house so we need to turn on the stove and keep it warm for a while.
As is common in older houses, it's colder inside than outside during the day!
However, the temperature is still warm enough to sit out on the veranda, and the light filtering in through the window is beautiful.
The other day while eating breakfast I noticed the steam coming up and realized I was missing the steam and my blanket.
I've been putting off changing my clothes, but I have to get it done!!
My theme lately has been letting go of excess.
What does "excess" mean to me, someone who sees things as more than just objects and loves everything in my home?
I hope that by changing my clothes, I can face myself and find an answer of my own.
