Take care of yourself

Mariko Tagami

The weather in Fukuoka has gotten much colder after a light snowfall.
In my house, my son suddenly had a fever and the whole family was down...
November made me once again feel grateful for my health.
Learning that children's cells are very dense and sensitive and that they quickly generate fevers to purify the stimulus of a cold, I was able to watch over my son little by little without being dominated by the energy of worry.
Once you've gotten over your anger towards your husband, things will get easier.
But when I actually have a fever of over 39 degrees, I feel so miserable, so pained, I can't go to work, I just want to get better quickly...
And so anxiety and dissatisfaction began to arise.
If a person's body is not healthy, even their thoughts become negative...
As I gradually recovered, what surprised me was that when I did yoga for the first time in a while, my body felt more flexible than before.
I hadn't done any exercise for a while and had just been sleeping, so I thought my body would be really stiff, but in fact it felt really comfortable and stretched out.
And that was the trigger that made me realize the importance of true self-care.
In the first place, self-love is used to mean taking care of yourself or loving yourself, but what does it mean to take care of yourself?
I used to mistakenly think that just following my desires, eating as much as I wanted of what I liked, or sleeping until I felt satisfied because I was tired, or just pampering myself, was self-care.
I thought that true self-care meant being aware of my current condition and getting the necessary exercise and appropriate care.
While doing yoga or exercise, if you notice that your shoulder blades are stiff and not open, slowly rotate your shoulders or do poses that open your shoulder blades.
Today, I felt that my legs were tired and swollen, so I massaged them in the bath.
Taking care of yourself doesn't require anything special; I believe that a little bit of daily care can lead to a healthy mind and body.
Being aware of your current state means there is room for growth for your future self as it changes!
The fact that I can think like this is proof that I'm healthy lol
As we approach December, the sun sets early and we tend to feel impatient, thinking we don't have much time, but I hope you can find a few minutes each day to love and cherish yourself.
Have a week full of love again this week♡
