A breath of growth

Mariko Tagami

The last week of August.
Are there many children who are busy with their summer vacation homework?
Although Utsushiki has no air conditioning and it was hot this year, many people came to visit when they returned home from their hometowns, and it was wonderful to hear people from afar say, "I've always wanted to come!"
Meanwhile, the Ono family, who had been away on an exhibition tour at ens in Wakayama and scene in Oita, have returned and life has seemingly returned to normal.
These days at Utsushiki.
The main topic of conversation was yoga.
I actually just started doing yoga seriously.
When I was living in the Kanto region, I would go to studios and watch books, DVDs, and other videos, but I just couldn't keep it up that way.
However, when I was thinking about incorporating it into my daily life, the big trigger was Boss
This was Yasuhide Ono.
Yoga has been incorporated into the school on a regular basis and has been taught during morning physical education classes, but Ono has also started to get serious about yoga about two months ago.
After reviewing his lifestyle and making it a daily morning routine, Ono-san began to see gradual changes...
As for what has changed, although it's very abstract, I felt that the aura around Ono-san has changed.
What is this aura emanating from him?
I really have to do this!!
So, with a little bit of jealousy towards Ono, I decided to embark on the path of yoga.
Well, when you start, you'll find a mountain of problems.
Although we started out as a couple, our son would wake up early in the morning and be taken back to bed, so often only one of us could do it at a time.
And both of them are pretty stiff.
My hip joint hurts so much that I can't even breathe properly.
My shoulder blades are cracking...
I feel disgusted with myself and fall into self-loathing.
However, something slowly resonated inside me.
I can't put it into words, but I can definitely feel a kind of energy coursing through my body and gradually connecting it to my life.
"Let go of the part of yourself that you can't do, one breath at a time"
Such words have helped me to practice yoga at home, and I have decided to try it again tomorrow.
It may sound like an exaggeration to say I'll do this for the rest of my life, but that's how much I want to continue doing this, with a sense of inner ease.
After all, everyday life is full of learning opportunities to help you grow, not just yoga.
So that you can breathe even a second longer and deeper on your yoga mat.
So that you can spend even one more second smiling with your family and loved ones.
Let's grow with every breath this week!
