It's finally starting to feel like winter in Fukuoka.

With the winter solstice approaching, the hours of sunlight have become much shorter.

Is everyone doing well?

As I walk around my house, I notice that the plants have quickly lost their leaves and flowers, leaving the landscape with a faded color.

It's time to say goodbye to a world where color barely remains, and move towards the still air and tranquil, transparent time that lies beyond the autumn colors.

As the weather gets colder, winter vegetables become sweeter and more flavorful. Although everyday cooking is not that different, we can enjoy winter vegetables at this time of year.

I personally think that Fukumura's tableware goes well with these winter vegetables.

I'm not lying because the exhibition is coming up, I'm really telling you this.

Looking back at the photos of our family dinner table, I realize that we use it extraordinarily often from autumn through to winter (laughs).

One of the reasons I use it almost every day is because it goes well with any Japanese, Western, Chinese or ethnic food and makes the food look good. Above all, the shape is very versatile and it helps me out in any situation.

The silver paint and lava-like texture that have become his trademark appear at first glance to be unique and flashy.

Some things give a rough impression.

That's why you'll be surprised at the difference when you use it...

Where has the flashiness and ruggedness gone???

It is often said that objects reflect their creators, and when I look at Fukumura's work, I truly feel that this is true.

Just cutting up some turnips and sprinkling salt, cumin and oil on them looks so proud.

Just stir-fried leftover radish skins look elegant...

Is it okay for something like this to happen?

This winter, I want you to experience the surprise, joy, and illusion that your cooking skills have improved.

So, the first Fukumura Ryuta exhibition in two years is finally approaching this weekend.

It's sure to be a festive event. Are you all ready?

On the 17th (Sat) and 18th (Sun), there will be a dinner party by sardexka in the cafe, and on the 24th (Sat) and 25th (Sun), there will be a coffee party by Coffee Uranino. Both events require reservations, so please check out Utsushiki's Instagram and apply.

It goes without saying that the food and coffee are wonderful, but the two Fukumura users who use Fukumura's tableware on a daily basis to provide beautiful food and time are also a must-see.
