Don't forget the obvious

当たり前なことを忘れずに

It feels like November just started a while ago, but before I knew it, December is already coming to an end. When I think that this is the last blog of the year, it doesn't really feel real, and there are still many things left to do before the end of the year, so it will be a while before I look back on 2021.

Recently, I've been working on the music video for Arisa Kawai's "Poem of the Stars."

I spend my days running around here and there to collect video footage of the stars. I go to the sea, I go to the forest. It's difficult because you can't predict the situation until you actually go there, and I still don't have much experience, so even if I spend an hour going to my destination, I often strike out. Still, if I do it enough times, I might hit a home run someday, but the view I see at that time won't last forever.

In an hour or two, the stars may be hidden by the clouds. Rain may suddenly fall. Nature makes us realize that nothing is eternal, and therefore fleeting, and that it is because of this fleetingness that we can cherish the present - feelings that may seem obvious but that we have forgotten.

We have successfully gathered all the footage, and are in the final stages of editing. We are working towards updating it this Friday, so we hope you will look forward to it.

The great migration begins in late December.

The "Utsushiki Exhibition" will be held at ens in Wakayama from Saturday, December 18th to Sunday, December 26th.

Arisa Kawai will be performing live on Sunday, December 26th, so we will be filming the concert and a new music video at Irodoriyama. We will also be editing the video and releasing it on the Utsushiki YouTube channel, so please look forward to it!

Chikni's exhibition is scheduled for January. Before the exhibition, I visited 10watts field & gallery in Yokohama for some research.

I would like to capture the atmosphere and energy on set so that I can convey, at least to a certain extent, through the video, what the production scene and feelings were like.

Please look forward to that as well.

So, I hope this week will be a learning one for you!
