Weaving the days together

A familiar scent as I walk down the usual path
It's osmanthus
The presence of plants throughout the year helps us notice the change of seasons
I hadn't paid much attention to it until yesterday, but now I'm aware of its presence due to a sudden change.
Today is November
At the exhibition of Hiiro Ookami + Flower Shop Nishibeppu Shoten, which was held until last week, old Persian kilims were used to decorate the space along with plant works.
It was made by a woman over her lifetime by dyeing wool with plants, spinning it into thread, and weaving it into a garment. Some parts have been actually used and repaired or worn.
Are the patterns that are created unique to the region?
An unknown photograph captures my heart
In times of pain, sadness, and happiness, the woman just keeps moving her hands, and all of these are woven together.
I always remember the words of a weaving teacher who is well over 70 years old.
I used to work in a flower shop and I also spin and weave, so this exhibition made me feel like my body was buzzing.
The Errol Le Cain picture books that I've had close to me since childhood
I was so engrossed in not only the story but also the scenery that would appear next that I turned the pages enthusiastically.
Even though I know it, I am always surprised
The author has traveled around the world since he was a child, creating a mysterious world where different cultures intersect.
The exhibitions always show a world far beyond our expectations, and I get to experience kilims
It brought back exciting memories from my childhood.
I can't help but think things through in my head.
Don't ignore the natural sensations, just try them out.
I have learned the importance of taking small, steady steps.
The permanent store interior is a mix of various places, times and makers.
The ordinary scenery that can only be seen through a mirror is also fascinating.
From Saturday, November 27th, an exhibition by Tomohiro Ono from Yamaka Design Office will be held.
Please plan to have fun
