Thoughts on the Moon

Yellow Wolf + Flower Shop Nishibeppu Shop Exhibition "Journey story"
It closed yesterday with great success.
Thank you to everyone who came and to everyone who watched online.
The final day will again be Nishibeppu's workshop.
Even though the event has been held many times, there are people who enjoy participating every year with different themes.
I am so happy that you came all the way here for this day.
The rain that had been falling since dawn had cleared up by the time the event began, leaving the plants shining with a fresh glow.
While walking around, I chose plants.
This time, some people will be incorporating crystals that Ono found in India.
Everyone drew their own shapes and bundled them together to create beautiful works of art.
One of the participants was an elementary school boy, and I was moved by how beautiful his newly created works were.
Mr. Sato and Mr. Nishibeppu of the yellow wolf have sparkling eyes and are like children themselves.
Things you love, scenery you want to see, plants you hide and often overlook...
It seemed to coincide with the way his works directly express the emotions that move him at any given time.
Photo exhibition by Momoka Omote held in the cafe
Her photographs invite you into a different world from the Yellow Wolf exhibition.
The vivid colors that jump out at you from the entrance and emerge as you follow each photograph.
Nishibeppu's decorations, decorated with plants she selected, also looked like Tamuke.
Momoka's photo collection can be viewed online.
This is a beautiful photo book that has been carefully stitched together and the feeling is apparent as you turn the pages.
The cafe event will feature sweets from Shiho of "vedasultenfuss," who is active in Kagoshima, and a tea party with Rina of "Tsubu."
A botanical cake and osmanthus tea, which seem to be a lively celebration.
It's a cute cafe where the drinks disappear as soon as you put them in your mouth, but you'll be sad to see them go.
If you couldn't make it this time, please come to our store in Kagoshima.
In the middle of the exhibition, a total lunar eclipse and Uranus eclipse were observed, apparently for the first time in 442 years.
I was deeply moved by the excitement in the news, thinking that there must have been people in various places who devoted their hearts to this natural process.
On the way home, several people went outside and looked up at the sky in response to the unusual phenomenon.
I watched with a smile as everyone looked up at the view, taking pictures with their cell phones in hand, thinking, "I want to show this to someone special!" or "I want to keep it as a memento!"
As I watched, I suddenly realized that I myself usually look at things through a small cell phone screen, but then I have to look at the real thing with my own eyes.
I was shocked to realize that my mind was always on the side of things other than the present, and that I was neglecting the present.
Utsushiki asks that customers refrain from taking photographs inside the store.
We need to be considerate of those around us, but more than anything, we want people to experience the place they are in as they are, without any filters.
The memory devices that people receive may not be as accurate as machines, but I think that this is exactly why people can take home their own unique perceptions and views.
It's also nice to know that there are things here that moved me so much that I wanted to point my lens at them.
The unforgettable scenery will be released as a digest at a later date, taken by Oda, who is in charge of beautiful photography and video that will preserve time.
Please enjoy it.
The season of autumn is deepening.
Let's cherish this fruitful present and live each day to the fullest.
