Since the new year, watching the sunrise has become a daily pleasure for me.

At the end of last year, an Utsushiki exhibition was held at ens , run by Arisa Kawai, who has also held an exhibition at Utsushiki, and various Utsushiki members participated in their own ways, including by displaying Yasuhide Ono's accessories.

I was in charge of the plant decorations and flower bouquets given as gifts at the concert celebrating the release of Arisa's first album, "En."

I usually see everyone off from the Utsushiki, so going out myself was a new experience for me and I felt a bit nervous, but I was just so happy that Arisa entrusted me with it.

This album is pleasant to listen to as background music, but it also has a mysterious effect that makes you want to calm your mind, focus your body and soul, and immerse yourself deeply in the world as you listen to the music.

Deep down in everyone, "we are born, we live, we live, we die"

The words are repeated several times.

I was at the flower shop where I worked when I heard the news of my sister's death.

It was midnight, and I was getting ready to go home, casually deciding it was time to finish work.

It was so sudden, I had only just turned 20.

Because he wasn't in front of me, I couldn't really feel it, and in the confusion, many things were flooding in and we were talking about trivial things like what kind of flowers we should have if we ever got married.

With my mind completely blank and empty, I focused on making a bouquet for her using the plants in front of me.

The last train had already passed, and there was no way to rush over, so that was all I could do.

Listening to the sound brought back memories that were so precious to me that I was scared and had sealed them up and pushed them into a corner.

I'm so engrossed in it that my hands just start moving on their own without me having to think too much.

At the same time, I was reminded of that too.

Looking at plants

The part that protects the flower as a bud becomes the sepals that support the flower after it opens.

Even as the flowers bloom, fruit grows deep within.

Before you know it, it completely changes its form, explodes, becomes a seed, and starts again.

To be born, to live, to die

It is neither an end nor a beginning, but rather it goes around and around in a circle.

With this in mind, I let the plants spread throughout the world that Arisa created.
