A string of

一本の連なり

The first Emiowasu exhibition.

Thank you to everyone who came and looked forward to the online event.

The exhibitions always offer a fleeting, mirage-like view.

In just under ten days, we are able to receive the tangible result of the efforts of many people over many days and the experience they have accumulated over many years.

I feel like the clothes I choose based on my current sensibilities will make my days to come more vivid.

The clothes I have chosen for myself have already become a part of my life, protecting me as if it were a given.

This exhibition also featured antiques that Emiowasu had come into contact with from the various places she visited while making clothes.

Among them, the Aka tribe bags are so captivating that you can't take your eyes off them as you look at them over and over again.

It is woven from threads made from spun kudzu.

Such intricate craftsmanship is rarely seen these days, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to pass on the techniques.

Previously, I had wanted to try making kudzu thread, but the event I had requested fell through.
I was really curious about how thread is spun from plants, so I went to see where it is made from another plant, the ramie plant.

The fibers are torn apart one by one and then twisted together to make a long thread.

Just spinning the threads is an enormous task, but the hands of the craftsmen move as smoothly as flowing water.
Just by moving your hand, the material naturally turns into thread and leaves a mark.

In the case of kudzu, a long fermentation period is required, making it a truly endless task.

I am deeply moved by the fact that something that I put so much effort into has now crossed the ocean and is in the palm of my hand.

The music video for "Spring and God," a song from Miho Ota's new album, released on March 29th.

Instead of just staying here, I want to take the first step.

With the changing of the seasons as its backdrop, this music gives courage and comforts us at times.

A film crew is currently working on the next music video.

I hope that this new album and video will reach many people.

There are things that move our hearts every day.

I believe that it is the accumulation of such experiences that creates self-confidence.
