Reminiscing on Southeast Asian Memories

The Emiowasu exhibition began last Saturday at Utsushiki.

Today marks the third day.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be there on the first day.
On the second day yesterday, the scene unfolded of each person carefully trying on the Emiowasu clothing over and over again.

Momentum isn't everything

When you look at the slowly flowing space of Emiowasu, you are reminded of its quality.

Actually, there are so many clothes I want that I can't decide. I end up wanting this and that.

However, Uemiowasu's clothes, which are filled with the scent of a warm country that blurs the boundary between the ordinary and the extraordinary,
There is a certainty and flexibility that will ensure that even if you become greedy, you will not regret it.

About six years ago, for about three years, I often traveled alone in Southeast Asia.
I especially love northern Thailand, and it brings back fond memories of the people who took care of me in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.

One time, I contacted a woman who was willing to guide me to a Karen village where they spun their own cotton, and we spent just a day or two together.
Looking at Emiowasu's clothes brings back vivid memories of that day.

I can picture the faces of the girls as they sit up, care for the indigo vats, and dry the beautiful black of the ebony.

I don't know if they are from the same village, but there's no doubt that Emiowasu's clothing is imbued with the daily lives and memories of these mothers.

The Emiowasu exhibition is now on its third day.

Whether you have been to Thailand or not, why not enjoy a relaxing time reminiscing about your memories and the local customs?

I'm sure Emiowasu's clothes provide us with that kind of space.

We are looking forward to seeing you today with lots of colorful clothes.
