One-day flower shop and cafe information

An exhibition of works by Chinese artist Ren Yuzi began on June 22nd.
Many people visit the exhibition every day. Some are surprised by the overwhelming world they create when they enter the exhibition, saying that it is better than they had imagined.
I am happy every day to see the children being drawn into the dyeing and materials they encounter for the first time, and the unique way they are made. The two, affectionately known as Maru-kun and Maru-chan, are always smiling, and it makes me smile too. During their time in the gallery, they will tell you about the materials and the production process.
To coincide with this exhibition, we have arranged a Chinese native flower, the pearl plum. It is a beautiful flower with its large, spread-out bird-wing-like leaves and tiny round buds that burst into bloom. The round petals fall in an instant, like confetti.
There is a similar plant in Japan called Rowan, but its appearance and properties differ depending on the soil, water, and environment in which it is grown.
A place where Chinese, English and Japanese are spoken
We had the opportunity to talk about Chineseness and Japaneseness together.
I realized that despite their completely different ethnicities, the way they perceived their work was unique to them and transcended their environment.
Their exhibition will continue until Sunday, June 30th. Come and see and touch them for yourself and see for yourself how they feel.
We will open a one-day flower shop with plants that grow in a reflecting environment.
Friday, July 5th, 14:00-17:00 at the coffee shop
Starting around the beginning of the first month of summer, we will be opening a flower shop once a month in the coffee shop. Konishi Sae, a staff member at Utsushiki, will be in charge. The colors, scents, patterns, shapes and scenery of plants are what they remind us of. Even if we don't remember the people, events or figures that they bring to mind, events that have happened through plants are stored somewhere in our bodies. Thinking of that brief moment, we scoop up the simple present born in the Utsushiki garden. Give this ever-changing encounter that only happens on that day as a gift, or for yourself.
We will make a bouquet according to your budget. Please feel free to contact us.
On this day, anyone can enjoy tea in the tea room. We look forward to seeing you.
