学びの場 第十一回目 [ 田中ひなこ ]

"Organize your days"

Awakening to the Wind of Dawn

Cleansed by the morning water

The midday flame is with the inner sun

Calm your mind with the evening breeze

Offering prayers to the evening earth

Late Night Fire Hour

Reborn through the power of sleep

I wonder when it was that I started thinking about the rhythm of a day.

I think the first time I became aware of the change in the air was during spring break in my first year of junior high school.

I woke up while it was still dark and left the house on my bike for early morning practice.

I cannot put into words the great feeling I felt, as if something pure from another world was permeating my entire body and mind.

"There's something different about the morning air."

I remember the simple thought I had at the time, along with the amazing, fresh feeling I had.

As we grow older, we learn to live in tune with the rhythm of the seasons and to live each day with care.

Although I longed for such a life, I began to feel disappointed in myself for being lazy.

Luckily, my partner was the kind of person who would wake up with the sunrise and get sleepy when the sun went down.

Naturally, I began to spend my days like this.

As you discover the comfort of living in accordance with the rhythm of the day, you will come to discover the wisdom of Ayurveda in how to spend your day.

Ayurveda translates to "science of life" in Japanese.

It is a science that gives us detailed guidance on how to live a happy life, from birth to death.

How do we live? Why were we born?

Probably everyone has had at least a few questions like this.

The answer to why we were born is something like this:

I think there are many hints to be found in studying yoga philosophy, religions around the world, and spirituality.

Others may know this intuitively during meditation.

However, before we can reach such a state of mind, our days continue to repeat with unanswered questions.

I believe that "living" also means "living."

If your daily life is in order, then surely your life, and the life that you build as you live, will also be in order.

"The miracle is not that we walk on water. The miracle is that we walk on land."

There is a saying by the Vietnamese monk Thich Nhat Hanh.

Reborn every day as a new person.

I believe life is a series of miracles.

The secret to organizing your days lies in knowing the rhythm of a day.

When studying yoga or Ayurveda, you will encounter a lot of technical terms and Sanskrit words.

At some point, I started to try to communicate in my own words, avoiding using Sanskrit as much as possible.

Sanskrit explanations of energy are used frequently in the daily life of Ayurveda.

First, let’s take a look at the daily flow of elements: wind, water, fire, wind, earth, and fire.

I decided to express this in my own words, and these are the poetic words I have written at the beginning of this article.

I am clumsy, so there is a lot of knowledge that I don't understand, and I am very bad at communicating it.

What I can do to communicate is to express in my own words what little I have understood.

I would be very happy if this message reached everyone who participated this time.

A sentence in the afterword of a book I read recently stuck in my mind.

"Trees grow taller and taller, while at the same time fertilizing the earth that supports them.

As they offer their gifts, they generously entrust their futures to the diverse new worlds that these gifts will take them to.

I want to be like a tree. Shinichi Takemura"

Continuing to learn is a lifelong joy, but at the same time, it also allows you to offer what you have within you to those around you and entrust it generously to the future.

I feel that this is also a joy for me as a human being. Why am I, who was not good at speaking in front of people, now sharing my experiences in a learning environment?

The reason for this was in this sentence.

I want to be like a tree.
