㓛Katana Masanori Hibi No Tatekago (Deep)
Born in 1986 to a Korean father and a Japanese mother, he grew up freely at the foot of Hakone. He began traveling both domestically and internationally at the age of 18, and at 24 went to Denmark to study abroad, where he encountered environmental issues and peace at a school with students from various countries. At the age of 29, he visited New Zealand, where he was deeply touched by the teachings of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh and mindfulness, and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, he met members of a domestic mindfulness sangha, and participated in the 2017 Plum Village Japan tour as a monk's caretaker. He then experienced rainy day retreat at Plum Village in the Kingdom of Thailand for two months. He now lives in Nagano with his wife, child, and beloved cat in the forest, weaving baskets. During this time, a path opened up for him, and he bowed deeply to the universe.
