Masami Tokuda Rimmed Plate 517

Sale price¥16,500

Masami Tokuda is a woodworker who has an atelier in Kagoshima Prefecture and uses wood to create wooden vessels, small items, and furniture. Over the course of more than 100 years, the maker does not intend to create the products of chance created by the natural environment, but rather allows them to change over time. He works by hand without any intention, simply moving his hands while listening to faint sounds. All sorts of accidental events that come his way. Tokuda's works have a supple beauty that accepts them.
