At the foot of Mt. Ibuki

nice to meet you.
My name is Oda and I am in charge of video at Utsushiki.
We shoot and edit footage of artists' special exhibitions and live performances held at Utsushiki.
An online exhibition by ceramic artist Takashi Ichikawa will be held in May.
By holding the event,
To Maebara City, Shiga Prefecture, where Ichikawa-san is active
I went there for interviews and photography.
Fukuoka-Shiga takes about 9 hours.
After a long drive, our first destination was
We arrived safely at the wood-fired kiln at the foot of Mt. Ibuki.
The beautiful light of spring is warm, the leaves rustle,
The sounds of the river and the chirps of birds mingle together,
The water flowing in the river is clean and clear,
It's still crisp and cold to the touch.
All of these places welcomed us and helped us to recover from the fatigue of our journey.
I still remember clearly the feeling of fulfillment without doing anything.
Then we met up with Ichikawa-san,
Interviewing and filming began.
The contents of the interview will be published in the "Dialogue" and "Video" sections at a later date.
I will update it,
Ichikawa's passion and passion for this exhibition are as follows:
Needless to say.
I wasn't able to see the entire process,
The process of making pottery, chopping firewood, putting pottery into the kiln, etc.
To know what Ichikawa-san is thinking
It was more than enough.
Whether online or offline,
For the writer, that doesn't matter.
Seeing Ichikawa-san's single-minded focus on getting his products into the hands of customers and using them makes me stand up straighter too.
What I can do is to exhibit online
To convey accurate information about Ichikawa to those who come through the video.
I hope to be able to create a video that will make the experience of using Ichikawa's work even better.
Please look forward to it.
