新学期

The cherry blossoms at Sakuratsuki Elementary School and the nursery school are in full bloom. My eldest son is in the second grade. My eldest daughter and second son have safely entered nursery school. My family's children have been amazing at adapting to new environments, and they are all doing their best in their own places.

Finally, after eight years, I have some free time.

What should I do with the limited time I have? This is what makes my heart beat faster as a mother.

Thank you little kids. Let's talk a lot when we get back.

I have been interested in embroidery since I was a student.
I taught myself embroidery little by little.
Why did you become interested in embroidery?
It was so long ago that I forgot. One day, my husband asked me to try embroidering with gold thread on indigo-dyed fabric.

I made tags for accessories.

Since then, I have been fascinated by the combination of indigo dye and gold thread, and have been trying it little by little.
The gold floating on the indigo is simply beautiful.

It's like light is shining onto the surface of the water.

It reminded me of the scenery I saw when I was a child playing in the stream in front of my house.

Embroidery makes me feel like I'm tracing back distant memories from that time, and it's so much fun.

I had the opportunity to do some embroidery on one of the works by iai × yasuhide ono at the recent iai exhibition.
One thing I wanted was a lucky charm for myself.
I embroidered some scraps of Indian Guduri fabric that Iasa had dyed, and had my husband make it into a bracelet.

I think this will become my lifelong friend, and it would be nice to change the embroidery and let it evolve as I spend time with it.

Spring is a time of many beginnings. Children will be experiencing many changes in the future.

I want you to embrace these changes and enjoy them. You create your own fun and happiness.
My mother is also trying something new.
Let's work hard together.
