Mother's Day

I get excited every year at this time.
When I used to work at a flower shop, May meant Mother's Day, so I was busy preparing for it about a month before.
Even after leaving the florist job,
I was allowed to help out just on this day,
I wonder how many Mother's Days I've spent as a florist.
It's a day when even people who don't normally buy flowers will open their doors to you.
Men who shyly ask for advice,
A little customer comes in with coins clutched in his hand.
Although it was hectic, I was happy to be involved in the dramatic moments of so many people.
My heart is warmed by each of their precious thoughts.
That person liked the combination of soft colors.
I wonder if the boy who gives his mother a carnation every year, equal to his age, made her happy again this year.
Even though it only happens once a year, each memorable gift brings back fond memories of fond memories.
It's getting warmer and plants are coming alive.
At Utsushiki, we prepared areas that had not been touched before and gradually planted new seedlings.
Lots of berries, lemons, plums, and herbs.
It's still just a tiny sapling, but just imagining it makes me imagine the sweet fragrance it gives off.
My current enjoyment is making bouquets using the plants in my Utsushiki Garden.
I wish I could give you all a gift filled with the bounty of the garden.
This year on Mother's Day, May 12th, all of us at Utsushiki went to Caterina Forest in Oita.
Sing Bird Concert continues for 16 years
Until now, I haven't been able to attend this event because of my work at the florist.
This year will be my last, and I am extremely happy to be able to participate as Utsushiki.
This place, brimming with greenery, has been nurtured by the hands of many dear people.
Please come and see us.
