Sowing the seeds

iai's exhibition "Kuzu Sei" will be held from March 23rd to March 31st.
Thank you to everyone who came.
They descended with the spring breeze and raced through with great success.
Many people came here for the first time in a long time, including those who came from far away to see iai and those who came to Utsushiki.
A mysterious garment that moves the mind and body.
Even those who see it for the first time will touch it and
Its comfort makes you want to try it on, and once you put it on your face will light up and a smile will spread across your face.
A scene filled with happiness.
Everyone surrounded by iai created a beautiful scene.
The materials that were collected by Iso from various places,
It is dyed with the power of plants from the village where he lives and sewn into clothing.
The colors are completely different from the plants we see every day.
Some people picked up their favorite garments and became interested in the plants that gave them their color.
I planted indigo seeds on a lucky day in March.
Every year, I dye fabrics with indigo in the mountains of Kitakyushu with some of my fellow grandmothers who are into weaving.
I would love to receive some of the seeds they have been keeping for so long, and be able to create some color in the Utsushiki Field.
The water, earth, light and wind of this place.
Everything you touch grows.
April 1st We will grow with the new year.
Starting Thursday, April 4th, Utsushiki's opening hours will be 1pm-4pm.
We will focus on gardening and farm work, and strive to share the joy of life with everyone.
