A landscape passed down from generation to generation

Time flies and September has come to an end and we are now in October.
I feel like I say the same thing every year, but when I think that there are only three months left in 2021, I'm amazed at how quickly time passes.
How is everyone spending their autumn?
I moved to an old house and am spending this autumn getting myself into a good environment.
When you spend time at home looking out onto the veranda from your tatami room, there are moments when you come across mesmerizing sunlight filtering through the trees.
Did Japanese people of the past, when there were fewer residential houses and high-rise apartment buildings around, encounter scenes like this often?
There are scenes that make you think about such things.
We want to preserve what we can, without neglecting the wisdom and scenes that have been handed down from our ancestors.
Now, from October 16th, Utsushiki will be holding an exhibition of "Haiiiro Ookami + Flower Shop Nishibeppu Shoten" for the first time in about a year and a half.
The theme this time is "Landscapes that travel through time."
"I want to express something that no one has ever seen before."
Mr. Katsuya Sato, the owner of "Hairiro Okami Antiques," which deals in Russian antiques,
Nishibeppu Hisayuki, owner of the Nishibeppu Flower Shop, says he always keeps this sentiment in mind.
The two of them lead me to a new world every time. I can't help but look forward to seeing what kind of scenery will unfold on the screen.
As part of the project, there will be a workshop to make Nishibeppu's wreaths,
A dinner party is also planned to be held in the cafe at "Uguisu to Kokuu" in Zoshigaya, Tokyo, a place with which the couple have a deep connection.
There are only a few seats left for some sessions and some days are already fully booked, so if you are interested, please contact Utsushiki as soon as possible.
I hope you look forward to all of them, including the online updates.
Let's have a lot of learning this week too.
