deliver

I found an old letter the other day.
It was posted over 80 years ago.
A letter from my great-grandfather, who moved to America to become an artist, expressing his concern for my grandfather, who had returned to Japan to take over the temple, and wishing him happiness.
Despite having crossed the ocean and passing through many years, it has decayed beautifully, and has the kind of presence that could only have been achieved through the accumulation of time.

Utsushiki Online started about a year and a half ago.
The works created by the creators we have connections with were compiled online in consultation with Oda-kun, the photographer, and Yoshiaki-kun, the web designer.
We are in charge of delivering the products to the people who ultimately choose them.
It's easy to put into words, but I always think of myself as involved in bringing together the experiences that each of us has accumulated.
Of course, that goes for the person choosing the item as well.
I hope that they will encounter Utsushiki through some kind of entrance and cast their vote with the tip of their faceless middle finger.
I think it's incredibly miraculous.
That's why we want to deliver it with care.
I have been secretly adding plants to letters since the online service first started.
Inspired by a passage from a classic, this is a Heian period custom of entrusting more than words to plants.
Even if you can't visit, I hope I can deliver at least a little of the scenery here.
Oota Miho's " Ukiki ," released on June 10th, is full of homages to Utsushiki's retired artist, Tashiro Saori (kiki product).
The packaging was designed by Ono Tomohiro of Yamaka Design Office.
Miho's "Voice Workshop" held by Saori in June two years ago
The album " Kyoumei " was born from that concert.
She delivers the plant, which represents her and that time together, along with the "Ukiki."
With prayers for Miho.
If you have ever tried kiki product herbal tea, you may understand what I'm talking about.
If you look back at this blog, you will find writings that reflect Saori's personality.

Thank you so much to everyone who placed an order and chose us!
We are providing online orders as well as in-store orders. Please be aware that it may take some time for us to respond to your emails and deliveries, so please look forward to it.
Masami Tokuda 's exhibition will begin this weekend for the first time in a year and a half.
The wooden vessels selected for the previous exhibition have accumulated a deep flavor through the accumulation of life in their owners.
Rather than intentionally making something look old, I am drawn to things that bear the marks that can only appear through the accumulation of everyday wear and tear.
Make that change with your own hands.
Saori Konishi
