February Learning

2月の学び

Before I knew it, February was over, March had arrived, and I finally had time to reflect on February.

Video coverage for the Fukumura Ryuta exhibition, music video shooting for Ota Miho, preparation for the exhibition, preparation for online sales, coverage of Emiowasu Okayama, etc.

I wanted to rest my body, but I felt like if I lost focus, I would just lose focus.
In February, all I could think about was running as fast as I could.

I visited Fukumura's workshop for an interview before an exhibition, the first time in a long while.

Those days seem like a long time ago. The works that were created at that time are lined up on the mirror.
It was a joyous moment for me to see the items depart for so many different hands.

The online exhibition that was released yesterday was also generating a lot of excitement.
It was such an enjoyable event that it made all the hard work preparing for the online event worth it!

Then, the filming and recording of Miho's music video took place at Utsushiki.
To be honest, I was very anxious about making a music video when the song wasn't even complete yet and was still in its rough, sketch form.

However, time was not waiting for anyone, and filming and recording began.
I was truly moved by the recording process, where so many different songs were shaped just by the voice on the piano.

Some songs are powerful, others are gentle and enveloping. As the songs take shape, the image that Miho wants to express gradually becomes clear.
The image in my head gradually came together, and I somehow managed to complete the music video.

Even now I think that it was really something.
It feels like a combination of various factors, including Miho's expressiveness and favorable weather on location, has resulted in the completion of footage I never could have imagined.

The lack of a predictable harmony that wouldn't have been achieved if the image had been too rigid from the start was somehow satisfying, and I couldn't stop editing.
It may be difficult, but I would like to continue making videos, always keeping in mind the creation of things that are not imaginable, but that even I cannot imagine.

I'm sure it's more fun for both the viewer and the creator. That being said, I want to keep striving to constantly raise the bar of what I can imagine.

We are currently adjusting the sound, and we think it will be released sometime in March.
We will continue to create music videos and share our music with many people, so please look forward to it.

In addition, there is a video of Fukumura's exhibition and an interview with Emiowasu.
There are a lot of updates planned for Utsushiki YouTube in March. I hope you look forward to them all.

I hope that March will be filled with many learning experiences.
