Five years have passed since then.
It's been a long, long time, long enough for my son, who was born in 2011, to turn five years old.
Today, I would like to talk about that earthquake so that it does not fade from memory.
Has something changed? Or has nothing changed?
Death feels closer to me,
Death can happen so suddenly.
I felt the powerlessness of being alone.
But at the same time, I felt that it is the power of just one person that makes things happen.
Each one of us lives our daily lives to the fullest.
Not to be self-centered, but to live with others in mind.
Live your life imagining others.
Living also means interacting with others.
I feel like the world has become a place where it's difficult to express one's opinions.
Put it into words.
Self-restraint and keeping quiet - things like that don't need to become popular, and we shouldn't create that kind of atmosphere in the first place.
We don't have telepathy.
No matter how close you are to your family or friends, you won't get your point across unless you say it out loud.
Put each of your thoughts into words.
Looking for something better than what we have now.
The most important thing is for everyone to have fun and for everyone to smile.
I need to change myself so that I can create that kind of atmosphere.
I want to live my life affirming many different things, rather than trying to pull others down.
I think it's okay to talk about this today.
I just want to pursue what I think is beautiful.
It's okay for everyone to have their own standards for beauty.
That's all I ask.
