After the Chikuni Exhibition
Noserumi

good morning.
Before I knew it, a month had already passed since the new year.
Even though it's only just begun, it already feels like the end of the year. What is this feeling?
This year may pass by in a flash, but if possible, I would like to have each day be filled with unexpected things in a good way, so that I can look back on the year.
Well, yesterday at Utsushiki we were able to successfully complete our first exhibition of the year, the Chikuni Exhibition!
Despite the current circumstances, we are extremely grateful to all of you who chose to visit us of your own volition and for your own enjoyment.
Thank you very much.

The previous chikuni exhibition was in December 2019, and this one was in January, so although it was both winter, it felt like there was a slightly different atmosphere.
On the first Saturday and Sunday of the exhibition, we were able to host a concert and learning opportunity by Ota Miho, as well as a botanical cuisine course by botanical chef Noda of Kimie.
The chikuni light is mysterious.
Although it fits in well with an everyday room, it also supports the performers' extraordinary world.
It is simple, yet has the depth of an antique, and in any home, new or old, in daily life or on the stage, it has the power to make you feel as if "that light was the only thing there was."
It's a thoroughly supporting role, but its shadowy presence makes the light stand out, and I can't help but feel that it's a truly symbolic light.
Also, this time, Miho Ota suddenly asked me to dance to "God of Spring" during the concert.
It was my first time to have everyone watch my dance at Utsushiki, so it was also a challenge for me.
An opportunity I probably wouldn't have been able to get on my own.
Even though Miho had never seen me dance in person, she said she trusted me and allowed me to entrust myself to her.
I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Miho-san!!
It was also a valuable time where I was able to really feel the work of Chikuni's Awatani, who supported us with the lighting direction during the live performance, from the stage side rather than the usual audience side.
Thank you for joining us!

This is a Chikuni piece that I personally purchased.
The time when you finally decide on a location, or the time spent wondering "Is it this place? Or maybe that place?", are both enriching and enjoyable experiences.
How do you decorate the lives of all the people you have come into contact with?
I'm so curious that I want to visit your home!
I would be most happy if the item would reach the hands of someone who will cherish the things that the maker holds dear.
Let's spend a long time together with the piece of art that we have come across.
I am also currently writing a " Dialogue " article.
We will be delivering the interview to you, so please look forward to it.
Each day passes by in the blink of an eye, so let's savor each and every moment.
Have another irreplaceable day today.
Noserumi
