Creating layers

I wonder when it started.
I began to draw a line between what I could do and what I couldn't.
What was once vague eventually became clearly visible, and the line that separated this side from that side became thicker, as if it was natural.
Getting older is probably not a good reason.
This time we will introduce Yasuhide Ono, the well-known Utsushiki Boss and author.
Ono advocates the lifestyle of being both academically and martial arts-oriented, a style similar to Farmer 2.0, and pursues the Japanese aesthetic sense and oriental values that have emerged since wabi-sabi in modern times.
Using natural stones that she finds and selects herself, she creates jewelry using a variety of techniques and expressions.
The stones used are enveloped in light and are unique, yet they stand quietly and unobtrusively in the storefront.
It almost seems as if the main focus is being given to the other artists' works and clothing that are displayed alongside them.
However, when you get close and stand in front of it, you are drawn in and cannot leave.
We often come across scenes where visitors stop and take a look like this.
Minerals can be thought of as a visible accumulation of time.
For example, it is said that the growth rate of quartz is only 1 mm per 100 years.
In reality, it depends on the environment, and just because a crystal has grown for 10,000 years does not necessarily mean that it is 10,000 years old.
It is possible that it may have stopped growing and remained underground in this form for millions or even tens of millions of years.
It is a wonderful and honorable thing to be able to wear something like that.
The free-spirited ideas of childhood that allowed us to make anything happen gradually faded away,
Once things start to take shape, it can get scary.
If superficial knowledge creates anxiety, how might things change if we went deeper into knowledge?
Every morning when he arrives at work he is already at his desk, studying intently.
However, he is also attentive to what is happening around him.
I'm amazed at how much of Ono's consciousness he is able to capture.
He sees all phenomena, both visible and invisible, as learning opportunities and his pursuit knows no bounds.
And it's so much fun! You can really feel it.
The other day, in the heavy rain, my eyes were caught by the movements of a swarm of flying insects, and an instantaneous thought began to race.
The sight of tiny dots swirling with a mysterious regularity, like guided bubbles or a whirlwind, is beautiful.
I was surprised when I learned of its existence.
If I hadn't been told, I might have just thought of it as an annoying bug.
Even the smallest events can be transformed into ideas.
When I first joined Utsushiki, the deadline for shipping was fast approaching and I continued working on the accessories, repeating to myself "It'll be okay, I can do it."
And they actually do it.
It was already five years ago, but it remains a very vivid impression on me.
Over the years, I have witnessed how they make things a reality by simply thinking about how to make it happen, rather than just wondering whether it is possible or not.
The act of steadily building up the soil day by day connects with the layers of minerals.
Yasuhide Ono's jewelry is featured on Utsushiki Online every month from the new moon to the full moon.
I hope you will find a connection with the piece of earth that he proposes.
I have been active as an artist for over 10 years, and I think many of you have been following me for many years.
This time, we'll be giving Ono fans a special glimpse into the time with the privilege of being staff members.
If you don't know him, please immerse yourself in his world here.
The more you learn, the more you'll want to dive deeper.
