From the interview journey

"Remaining silent during a conversation is like slacking off"

I was surprised to hear this during a long drive from Shimane to Kyoto to Mie for interviews and photography for "COSMIC WONDER," which will be held from May 1st.

This is because I am aware that I have been slacking off a lot up until now.

Our destination was Miyama, Kyoto, where COSMIC WONDER's atelier is located.

I was quite nervous before the interview, having seen the "Nono: Homeland of Paper and Fabric" exhibition at the Iwami Art Museum in Shimane the previous day.

Before asking any questions, we talked about our impressions of the exhibition, and the tension gradually eased.

Mr. Maeda, the founder of COSMIC WONDER, answered each question sincerely, and it was an intense experience in which the time flew by.

I was reminded once again that it is important to convey what I have experienced, rather than relying solely on prior information and asking superficial questions.
You never know what experience might be useful.

The "Ibitsu" Exhibition will be held from Saturday, April 17th.

The 160 or so pieces on display are overwhelming, including leather items such as wallets and book covers, clothes made from dyed second-hand clothes, and antiques that have been collected!

The details of leather items, such as the fasteners and straps, as well as the smell of the leather and the way it feels in your hand, always give me a special feeling.

I am looking forward to seeing how the leather's appearance and color will change over the years.

The clothes on display are European vintage clothing purchased by Taisho (Yuichi Sasaki).
The garments are cut and dyed, with a little extra effort put into creating the desired look and silhouette.

We hope you will come and see the antiques from Tohoku, as well as the space and works that can only be seen during this period.

The exhibition has also started online since yesterday. I think you will enjoy the works even more if you watch the " video " and " dialogue " first!

Advance orders are also now available for Ota Miho's new album "Uki Uki," which is scheduled for release at the end of May or early June.

Miho's journey so far is infused into each song. Interview articles and music videos are also available, so please take a look.

The CD album will come with a booklet written by Miho. The second promotional video will be released soon!

Although the days are very busy, I will continue to reflect on each day and strive to grow.
